TERMS OF
SERVICE
Last updated: July 2026  ·  LaborLock Inc.  ·  Jacksonville, NC
Early Access Beta Notice: LaborLock is currently in beta. These terms are subject to change as the platform evolves. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LaborLock ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

LaborLock is developing tools to help contractors and homeowners document project milestones, approvals, evidence, and changes, and to coordinate payments for home services and contracting work. Protected milestone funding is under active provider, legal, and architecture review and is not yet available.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use LaborLock. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.

4. Contractor and Homeowner Roles

Users may register as either a Contractor or Homeowner. Each role carries specific rights and responsibilities:

5. Payments

Payment integration is currently in controlled testing and is not available for customer funds yet. Protected milestone funding — including fund holding, milestone-based release, and automatic release — is planned and currently under provider, legal, and architecture review. LaborLock does not currently hold, release, or route customer funds on these terms. LaborLock has separately validated an XRPL escrow prototype on the XRP Ledger Mainnet; no customer funds are currently processed through this prototype.

6. Disputes

Either party may file a dispute on a submitted milestone. Dispute review and resolution procedures, including any arbitration process and response timeframe, are still being finalized and are not yet available as a production service. Filing false or frivolous disputes may result in account suspension.

7. Prohibited Conduct

8. Limitation of Liability

LaborLock is not liable for disputes between contractors and homeowners beyond its arbitration service. The Platform is provided "as is" during the beta period. LaborLock's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

LaborLock reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

10. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
