• Role (contractor or homeowner)
• Project details, milestone descriptions, and uploaded photos
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the LaborLock platform
• Process payments and manage escrow
• Send transactional notifications (milestone submissions, approvals, disputes)
• Resolve disputes between contractors and homeowners
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Blockchain Data

Escrow lock and release transactions are recorded on the XRP Ledger, a public blockchain network. This data is permanent and publicly visible on-chain. Other project data — including milestone submissions and approvals — is securely logged in our systems. Do not submit information to milestones that you wish to keep private.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Between parties on a project: Contractors and homeowners on the same project can see each other's submitted milestone data, photos, and notes.
• Service providers: We share data with Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), and blockchain networks as necessary to operate the platform.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. However, no system is completely secure. Use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Project and milestone records may be retained for legal and dispute resolution purposes even after account deletion. Blockchain records are permanent and cannot be deleted.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Note that some data tied to blockchain records cannot be deleted.

8. Cookies

LaborLock uses only essential session cookies necessary for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

LaborLock is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
